Large, high power, Observation Binoculars may not be as versatile as telescopes, but for use over extended periods they can be distinctly more comfortable. Both eyes are in use, and they usually have lots of eye-relief. Continuous observation of fledglings, or of yacht races are just two examples where they might come into their own. Tip: Always use an adequate tripod.
