Guarantees
Unless stated otherwise in the product description, all of our new products are guaranteed against manufacturing faults for one year from the date of purchase, during which time Far-Sighted (Trappings Ltd) will rectify the problem free of charge. Certain models will have extended manufacturer’s or Far-Sighted guarantees enclosed. The parts & labour element of these is stated in each model's description, parts only cover may be considerably longer.
Our guarantees may enhance, but do not affect your statutory rights.
Faults must be reported to Far-Sighted by post or Email, to confirm the nature of fault, purchase details, and to obtain instructions for the item’s return.
Binoculars are optical instruments and need to be used with care. Guarantees do not cover misuse (such as dropping, or abrasion of lenses), or wear and tear. Customers are advised to read and apply the care instructions enclosed with each instrument.

Re-stocking charge
Items returned within 10 days, undamaged and without a manufacturing fault will be subject to a £5 re-stocking charge.

The Protx payment system uses a combination of established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Our internet facing web servers are certified by Verisign, this ensures that no third parties can impersonate Protx to obtain secure information.
Transaction Security
The transfer of the less sensitive transaction details from the retailer's site to Protx is encrypted and digitally-signed. This ensures that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof.
Security for the Shopper
Any communication between the customer and Protx is encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the customer's browser. The customer is also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a "card not present" environment, by their car issuer.
